lgonzalez@laestrella.com.pa PANAMA. A recommendation by the Fourth Chamber of General Businesses (Sala Cuarta de Negocios Generales) ended the days of the Judicial Organ’s Chief of Staff, Sandra Quiroz de Basan.
Eight judges of the Supreme Court of Justice decided to dismiss her after the Fourth Chamber produced a dossier with evidence of anomalies that occcured under her watch. A Supreme Court press release questioned Quiroz’s irregular staff appointments, and said that she demonstrated a lack of control and improper supervision of the staff. She did not bring forth initiatives to benefit the judicial system. Until the new Chief of Staff is designated, Vielka Aguilar will be in charge of Quiroz’s responsibilities. Publicidad
