![]() Works to modernize Panama’s stadium set to benefit more than 30,000
PANAMA. The Rommel Fernandez Stadium is advancing at a good pace, with its roof as well as the lights infrastructure soon to be installed, stated the director of the Panamanian Institute of Sports, the Engineer Ramon Cardoze.
Cardoze said that among the works that will be done in the following few days includes lifting the ground and accommodating the respective drains. As for the game field, the director stated that a type of grass called “paspalum” will be used. Similarly, he said that they are working on the locker rooms, the referees rooms, and hopes to build two electric plants as well as 15,000 additional seats for a total of 35,000. Increasing seating area is already part of the stadium’s modernization plan, where new seating and new boxes will be added. Additionally, the lighting system is being widened and new restaurant and bathroom areas will be built. The expansion project is set to benefit 25 organized soccer leagues, 6,250 athletes and more than 25,000 indirect beneficiaries between fans and others. Publicidad
