Pittsburgh will play underdogs Arizona Cardinals for the coveted trophy
Panama Star Pittsburgh, seeking an unprecedented sixth Super Bowl triumph, will play the Arizona Cardinals, making their Super Bowl debut, for the National Football League championship on February 1 at Tampa, Florida.
"I'm really proud of this band of brothers," said Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who guided the Steelers to a Super Bowl win in 2006.
Polamalu picked off a pass from Baltimore quarterback Joe Flacco, eluded would-be tacklers as he raced across the field and into the end zone to give the Steelers a 24-13 lead after the Ravens had rallied within a field goal. Baltimore lost the ball on their next possession when Willis McGahee, who scored two touchdowns for the Ravens, lost a fumble after taking a severe hit following a reception. McGahee was taken off the field on a stretcher. Ravens officials said he had significant neck pain but was talking.
