69 deaths in 59 days

Panama Star PANAMA. There have been 69 deaths for traffic accidents in the last 59 days, which are three less than in 2008 for the same period.
Over the last 48 hours the legislator from the Chepo district, Tomas Altamirano Duque Mantovani lost his life after the SUV he was driving did a turn in the air and crashed, two people who were traveling with him were injured.
The National Police informed that the number of pedestrians being hit by car increased from 22 last year to 30 and it requesting drivers to drive more carefully and people to care more precautions while crossing the streets to avoid more fatalities.
