The Pittsburgh team will have to return to Detroit to keep their hopes alive
Panama Star Jordan Staal and Tyler Kennedy scored for Pittsburgh, Staal in the first minute of the second period and Kennedy at 5:35 of the third. Marc-Andre Fleury, who was pulled Saturday's 5-0 pounding by the Red Wings, made 25 saves for Pittsburgh, including a breakaway opportunity by Dan Cleary in the waning moments.
"He was unbelievable for us," Penguins captain Sidney Crosby said of the goalie.
Said Fleury: "It's a great feeling." The Penguins now must return to Detroit on Friday to try to prevent the Red Wings from retaining the title they won.
