"The revolution may not be televised in Iran, but it may well be tweeted," user 'kaplanmyrth' said.
Demand for user-generated content sites has been such, that the US State Department confessed it had contacted Twitter to urge it to delay a planned upgrade that would have cut daytime service to Iranians who are disputing their election.
