The Honduran president is ready to recuperate the power from the military
Panama Star PANAMA. The deposed Honduran president, Manuel Zelaya said that he is planning to return to his country this weekend and try to regain his rightful position.
Zelaya received the support of the United Nations last Tuesday, when the organization said that none of its member countries will recognized Roberto Micheletti as the new president of Honduras.
The Honduran head of state was in Panama to attend the inauguration of President Ricardo Martinelli and declined to make further comments saying the focus should be in the Panamanian celebrations.
Meanwhile, Micheletti said it would take a foreign invasion to put Zelaya back in power.
