Panama Star PANAMA. A group of 18 teens are in Panama to distribute 1,500 shoe boxes gifts to Kuna children.
Through a trip sponsored by Operation Christmas Child, a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse, teenagers from around the US are committed to providing friendship and aid to underprivileged children in the San Blas islands.
Since 1993, more than 61 million shoe boxes have been packed, shipped, and delivered across the globe.
Last year a separate delegation went to Ecuador. The delegates will distribute boxes each day they're here. Some of the visitors made their own gifts with jump ropes, coloring book, school supplies, toiletries and teddy bears.
The group will also make a presentation at Amigos de Metro, a children’s home.
