Bern on the bull’s eye

Panama Star PANAMA. First casualty was the Figali Marina. Now President Martinelli is charging against the concession of the Hotel Miramar parking lot given to business man Herman Bern. “Mr Bern has no crown. no one here does” said Martinelli. “ It cant be that a parking lot on the Balboa avenue is being built at an unknown price and on top of it they take their investment out of the rent money”.

He added that if a law is needed to correct this problem he will support it.

“Justice must be made. We are going to finish those who take advantage of the state paying pennies for concessions worth million of dollars”. Not only the concessions will go into presidential scrutiny, but the Corridors North and South will be probed too. The president said this measures will allow the government to recover money they can invest then into social work in benefit of the population.

The Figali marina company stayed silent for a few days after the President stormed into the Amador landfill. They said “ they are not running away” through a press release. “Its surprising the government is taking this forceful action against us, when there are others operating that don't have a ratified contract and don't pay a cent” said the release.
