The Presidency Minister, Rafael Mezquita said that it will give a $120 bonus from 2009, which is the equivalent of an extra $10 per month.
The Presidency Minister, Rafael Mezquita said that it will give a $120 bonus from 2009, which is the equivalent of an extra $10 per month.
Mezquita said that the government will only have to negotiate the remaining extra $15 that the pensioners are requesting. The money will be given also as a bonus.
Meanwhile, the pensioners’ representative, Eladio Fernandez said that they will wait for the next meeting on January 8, to get the government’s answer. He added that if they do not get a positive outcome, then they will go back to the streets until the government gives them the extra $15.
The Housing Minister, Gabriel Diez said only that the requested pay rise will be discussed.
