The two companies are Consorcios Constructora Norberto Odebrecht along with Empresa Degremount, S.A. and Consorcio OTV, S.A. along with OTV France.
The project, which is the second part of the First Phase of the Bay’s Sanitation,” will eliminate the bad odors that emanate from the bay on a daily basis.
Juan Antonio Ducruet, general coordinator of the project, said that the next step is the qualitative revision of the content of the technical offers.
He added that this will be held by the Evaluating Committee, with the agreement of Japan’s Bank of International Cooperation (JBIC), which is financing the project with close to $200 million, as well to the project’s operation for three years.
The evaluation of the companies’ proposal is expected to be held this month, after which the project will be awarded to the winning company.
