PANAMA. The basketball team "Los Canaleros de Panamá", who are the National Youth Basketball Champions will face the US university basketball team "Sterling College", in two matches on May 23 and 25. The Sterling College team from Massachusetts was in Panama in 2008 and played against the Rio Abajo Caymans, losing only one game out of three.

The undefeated “Canaleros” will face the Sterlings on Saturday May 23 at the EPIHO Gymnasium of Escuela Profesional, located in Punta Pacifica and on May 25 at the Gringo de la Guardia in Parque Lefevre. Both games start at 7:00 p.m.

The Panama team is managed by its trainers Enrique Grenald and Alfonso Stoute, while American visiting team is directed by Mark Warder. The series with Sterling College are sponsored by the Panamanian Basketball Association and Spalding.

The friendly games are aimed to improve the performance of the Panamanian teams and create tighter bonds between Panama and the United States.
