PANAMA. A complaint from the Front Against Corruption (FAC) against Judge Jeronimo Mejia was due to be heard in the National Assembly yesterday.
FAC alleges that Mejia continued to work as a lawyer after he was appointed as a judge in 2007.
FAC Secretary, Enrique Montenegro, also accuses Mejia’s former law firm of exercising an extensive network of influence in the Attorney General’s office and the penal and high courts.
