The administrator of AUPSA, Gilberto Real said that the authority analyzed 32 products of which four tested positive, but the levels of melanime where too low to be a danger to health.
Real added that the restriction for the commercialization of the products that tested negative will continue, until the results about other possible contaminants are received.
Among the products that were found to contain melamine are Rabbit creamy candies, orange sandwich biscuits, biscuits with milk soft center and strawberry center biscuits.
Since last September AUPSA took out of circulation 56 products that were manufactured in China, to prevent any possible risks to the public health.
According to the administrator the owners of establishment that sell the offending products cooperated fully with the authorities and did not issue any complaints.
Real said that they will continue to test the products in the near future, until the AUPSA is a hundred percent certain that the Chinese products sold in Panama are safe.
