PANAMA. The Grupo Q was surprised about the provisional suspension of the Transmovil project by the Supreme Court of Justice, SC and they only find out about it when they read the news in the daily, La Prensa.
The Terrestrial Transport and Traffic Authority, which was named in the lawsuit made by the groups opposing the Transmovil project, said that they have not been notified by the court and prefer not to make any comments.
If the court ratifies its provisional verdict it could mean the death of the public transport program at least until the new administration takes over the presidential office.
Santiago Gomez, from the Grupo Q, the company that won the contract to supply the new buses, said that they are very worried about the implication of the judgment.
