So far the MIVI has determined that 466 houses were affected by the floods, but it is expected that the number will increase to 600, once the evaluations are complete.
The Housing Minister, Gabriel Diez said that the process of evaluation has been very slow due to the atrocious weather conditions.
Diez added that one of the main problems is that people refuse to abandon the areas in which their houses are constructed, although they are in a danger zone. He also asked for patience from the residents.
