The former legislator said: “I do not have any intention of seeking refuge in another country. I am a Panamanian citizen and I have the right to be here. Nobody is going to extradite me to the United States.”
Gonzalez said that the process that is open against him in the United States is unjust and he is making arrangements with the American authorities to have his case reviewed and his file closed once and for all.
In the meantime he will continue fighting the extradition process.
