PANAMA. The president of the Supreme Court, Harley Mitchell; the attorney general, Ana Matilde Gomez; judges; and advisers from the Ministry of Government and Justice met this week at the Court’s headquarters to discuss the implementation of the new Penal Code. Among topics discussed were the necessary investments before it goes into effect in September 2009 and the personal security of judges, especially those in charge of the penal court.
