PANAMA. Accompanied by salesmen and local producers, the independent candidate aspiring to be Panama’s Miguel Antonio Bernal, took a tour of the local produce market, to learn about its problems.

On his visit, Bernal noticed the unhealthy conditions of its public dumpster.

“This has to be fixed as soon as possible, as I have mentioned before, the market needs modernization, it needs to be transformed in order to benefit everyone. The produce is being lost and Panamanians don’t have access to them. This needs to be improved urgently,” Bernal commented.

During his tour, members of the municipal police asked him to refrain from taking pictures and video.

Panama’s municipality is in charge of the administration of several markets, including the local produce one, the seafood market, and others.
