The administrator of the Stocks Commission Juan Manuel Martans said that currently they are investigating the evaluation of the activities especially the ones related to pensions, and how they invest the funds of their clients.
Martans said that during his enquiries inconsistencies were found in respect of the actual value of the funds. “Currently we are investigating further to find out if Progreso was overinflating the worth of the funds or if they were correctly calculated.”
According to Martans the inconsistencies the ombudsman has found is minimal, but he still wants an explanation.
Progreso has a fund of $50 million and handles pensions and investment funds.
