PANAMA. Organized crime groups who commit ‘express kidnappings’ are on the prowl again. In less than 24 hours police authorities have reported three cases in different sectors of Panama city.
The national police director Francisco Troya, confirmed the capture of three suspects that had snatched acouple recently at a ‘push button’, located in Juan Diaz.
The victims were taken to several ATM machines in order to drain their credit cards.
But the kidnappers were not counting on fast police action and ended up abandoning the couple in Belen, Tocumen.
Another two cases took place in the early morning hours near the Hato Pintado and Ricardo J. Alfaro area. The kidnappers reportedly escaped.
