PANAMA. The Murcia cases is claiming three more victims, embarrassing the government once again.
Three units of the Institutional Protection System (SPI) have admitted to working as bodyguards for the Colombian businessman, David Murcia.
In a telephone call the former president Mireya Moscoso said to Torrijos that during their spare time her guards Arles Arauz and Fernando Aguilar were working as bodyguards for Murcia. Both units had initially denied the claims, coming clean only after Moscoso’s statements.
The third person involved was Rodrigo Ureña. The three men faced disciplinary proceedings. Fernando Aguilar has already been dismissed, while the two other guards are still under investigation.
