The Latin American troupe is headed by nine Argentineans, four Colombians, two Mexicans, one Chilean, one Salvadorian and one Paraguayan.

They will try to surprise the 80 American golfers, that once again are the favorites to raise the cup.

The Argentinean, Miguel Angel Carballo represents the best hope to win the trophy for the Latin American group.

He won the championship in 2007 However he appeared to lose his sparkle last year.

A member of the organizing committee, Roberto Durán Jr. said that other contenders for the cup are the Colombian Manuel Villegas and the Salvadorian Fernando Figueroa, two promising golfers who will be seen in action at the event. Figueroa made his debut in 2008.
