PANAMA. The police found a total of $392,000 of counterfeit money near the bridge of Caimito river, Via Cincuentenario, which is near Panama Viejo.

The $392,000 in $10 and $20 bills were hidden inside plastic supermarket bags and placed carefully on grassland away from prying eyes.

Detectives suspect that the counterfeit currency was going to be used to buy drugs from unsuspecting dealers, who would be paid with the false money.

The enquiries appear to suggest that the counterfeit money has something to do with the death of a Colombian citizen, Oscar Dino Divado Cardoze who was killed execution style last February 2 outside the Bayside building located in Costa del Este. No arrest has been made.
