NEW YORK. JP Morgan believes that no matter who wins the elections in Panama, the results will be credit neutral as the shop doesn’t expect any of the leading candidates to significantly alter the economic framework.

It is likely that whoever wins the elections will continue with current economic strategy.

A Dichter & Neira survey gives supermarket tycoon of the opposition Democratic Change Party a 14 percent theoretical margin of victory over Balbina Herrera of the Revolutionary Democratic Party. The results of the Dichter & Neira poll are consistent with the latest Univer survey, which gives Martinelli a 12 percent lead over Herrera, with former president Guillermo Endara of the Moral Vanguard of the Homeland running a distant third.
