The Minister of Security, Rodolfo Aguilera, told Blu Radio that he rules out murder as a motive for the crime

Former Panamanian President, Mireya Moscoso, affirms that the shooting in her house could have been an attempt to kidnap her. During an interview with Blu Radio, she stated that what happened yesterday in her house involved two colombians who might have wanted to kidnap her.

She explained that the offenders didn't chase the former Head of Government, Arnulfo Escalona, because they were waiting near her house. Moscoso also mentioned that Escalona was driving the same car which she owns. "I don't know, maybe they thought that I was driving the car", she stated.

She added that the delinquents had everything planned, since they already had round-trip tickets to Colombia. She also pointed out that a woman walked near the two men and then hid behind a tree. She was wounded in her arm during the shooting, according to details provided by Moscoso.

The names of the two colombian citizens are Julian Esteban López, who died in the shooting, and Raúl David Pérez, who was detained inside the airplane heading to Colombia.

The Minister of Security, Rodolfo Aguilera, told Blu Radio that he rules out murder as a motive for the crime, but the case is still being investigated.
