Halloween for ex-pats. The American Society announces a Halloween Party sponsored by the Balboa Yacht Club (in Amador Causeway) on Friday October 31 at 6:00 p.m. There will be live music at 8:00 p.m. and prizes for the best costumes. Tickets are $5.00, which entitles you to three beers or 2 mixed drinks/wines. Come with your friends and enjoy the “Goulie” evening! For more information, contact the yacht club at 228-5794.

Hallogreen for the environmentally conscious. Panamá Más Verde (Greener Panama) is a non-profit organization promoting an ecological conscience in Panamanian society. The group is organizing a “Hallogreen Party” today at La Casona, Casco Antiguo. The costumes contest will reward whoever comes up with the most creative one made of at least 50% recycled materials. “El Papo Vecino” and dancing music all night. The party starts at 9:00 p.m. and entrance is $5.

Halloween for the tough. Premium Boxing Promotions presents the “Ghosts Night” boxing event at Figali Convention Center today Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Anselmo “Chemito” Morales, renowned Panamanian boxer, will take on Filipino Rolly Matsushita, an encounter which organizers promise will electrify the audience. The general admission area ($10) is first come first served, and the VIP areas ($40 - $150) are with numbered seats. Tickets can be bought at Blockbuster.

Halloween for the performers. Pre-Halloween Party for theater performers at Club K’OS today. 9:00 p.m. Free entrance. Come meet other actors and share your love for the performing arts.

Halloween for trance lovers. DJ Second Sun, who has conquered the trance world with great hits like the remix of Queen’s “Another bites the dust” and the remix and vocals of Deep Dish’s “Play all the time”, will be performing live at Hed Kandi in Plaza Paitilla at 10:30 p.m. Their radio ads announce a $1,000 prize for the best costume. Halloween for the rockers. Zombie Walk Halloween Party: Rencilla, Panama’s first hardcore rock group and four time winner of the Panama Rock Awards, is putting together a tribute to Misfits along with other performers in La Riviera building diagonal to the Texaco in Bella Vista (1st floor). They will also be playing covers from Danzig, Ramones, Sex Pistol and Bad Religion. Before attending the concert, join them at the Zombie Walk at 9:00 p.m. starting from Urraca Park. $5 for humans, free for zombies, the best of which will receive prizes.
