The National Project director of the ATP, Jaime Cornejo said that the implementation of the plan will start in Chiriqui, with the creation of a committee formed by local authorities, civil servants with links to the master plan, non-governmental organizations, unions and private companies.
The master plan aims to improve the infrastructure of the tourist destinations such as roads, human resources and amenities, construction of ports and airports to mention a few.
Another objective is for investments in tourism to be spent in other parts of the country other than the capital city, where the majority of the projects have taken place.
