PANAMA. The economy crisis' effect on the automobile industry does not seem to be an impediment to the Ricardo Perez Group which plans to build a multi-million dollar logistic center.

Mile 8 the area where the center will be located, was chosen for its strategic position between the Pacific and Atlantic, as well as its proximity to the companies that form the enterprise group.

The logistic center currently has 80 percent of its construction completed and will be inaugurated in May. More than $4 million has been invested in the project. Fernando Miranda vice-president of post sales said: “ This project will make them much more efficient and more able to respond quickly to clients needs, reducing time and cost.” The center will allow the Ricardo Perez Group to use one inventory sheet to locate tires and spare parts, and cover two and a half months of demand. The building will cover eight thousand square meters and will be used to distribute auto parts, trucks, cranes, tires and accessories.
