The former director of Social Security, Juan Jovane, said that this electoral period has been the dirtiest in Panama’s history.
Jovane claimed that in Panama “there is no democracy” seeing as the Electoral Tribunal told him only two days before the general elections that he could run as an independent candidate in the presidential elections.
