The president said that he has not taken any decisions about who is going to be the next director of the Social Security, but he has three candidates in mind.
“The new director will have to solve the problem of the lack of medicines at the Social Security and the poor attention.”
Martinelli said that currently the government is trying to find ways to reduce the costs of medicines and that he will probably will make an announcement about it over the next few weeks.
“This is a complex subject that need to be analyzed by experts, but we make a promise to the Panamanian people to reduce the price of the prescription drugs; we are going to find a solution,” said Martinelli.
