PANAMA. The closure of several clandestine brothels in different parts of the capital city have caused concern among certain members of the PRD (Revolutionary Democratic Party,) because of the possible existence of a clients list, which includes the names of well known politicians.

During a television appearance in “Noticias AM”, Panama’s mayor, Bosco Vallarino said that he will not divulge the list of opposition politicians who used the services of prostitutes.

He insisted that the previous administration knew of the existence of the clandestine brothels and they turned a blind eye rather than do something about it.

Vallarino said that the raids carried out on illegal operators for the last three days not only took place in exclusive sectors of the capital, but also in Panama East were several illegal businesses were closed down.

The mayor said that the owners of the clandestine brothels in Via Porras and Coco del Mar were a Colombian woman and a Canadian citizen, but he did not reveal the names. The raids will continue in the capital city.
