PANAMA. Panama’s Second Superior Tribunal has revoked the $250,000 bail awarded to former National Maritime Service director, Colombian, Ricardo Traad Porras, by the Fourth Penal Court.
The decision was taken by the tribunal after the First Drugs Prosecution Office appealed the bail given by deputy judge Esther Hinestroza.
Traad Porras, who has been accused with other twelve people of money laundering, will appear in court on April 29, to answer to the charges against him.
In the case the former employees of the Maritime Service: Eduardo Morales and Edilberto Luna have also been indicted.
Traad Porras has been detained awaiting trial, since May 2007 at El Renacer Detention Center.
