TOKYO. Olympic champion hurdler Dayron Robles will lead a parade of Beijing medallists at this month's Kawasaki track and field meet, organisers said on Friday.

The Cuban set a 110m hurdles world record of 12.87 seconds in June before winning Olympic gold in Beijing, where China's defending champion Liu Xiang pulled out injured. Other Beijing gold-medallists are Tomasz Majewski of Poland, who will take on Athens champion Yuriy Bilonog of Ukraine in the men's shot put, and Primoz Kozmus of Slovenia in the men‘s hammer. Kozmus is expected to face tough competition from Athens champion Koji Murofushi of Japan and Sydney Olympic winner Szymon Ziolkowski of Poland.

Hyleas Fountain of the United States won the 100m hurdles silver medal, while her compatriot Bershawn Jackson, the 2005 world champion, took the men's 400m men’s hurdles bronze medal.
