PANAMA. Victims of “diablo rojos” accidents have filed a lawsuit requesting the nulification of the Transmovil project.

PANAMA. Victims of “diablo rojos” accidents have filed a lawsuit requesting the nulification of the Transmovil project.

According to their lawyer, Victor Martinez, the tender process for the Transmovil should be suspended.

Yasiel Sanchez, who lost her right arm due to one of the often-seen bus races, said she is outraged with the $25,000 indemnity bus owners are receiving, claiming they “should get, if anything $5,000.”

Transport member Sergio Molina was present at the court. He opposes the project, saying that the other transport members, including Dionel Broce and the members of the National Chamber of Transport Membersare, are sell-outs.

The tender process for the Transmovil will finally be completed today Thursday, as the process of buying 420 buses to replace “Diablo rojos”ends
