Panama's royal visit

PANAMA. Belgium Crown Prince Philippe, Duke of Brabant (left), takes a photograph of the Panama Canal as President Martin Torrijos looks on. Prince Philippe is on a two-day official visit to Panama. Earlier on, the Prince and the President witnessed the signing of a reciprocal agreement on investment promotion and protection, which was signed by Ricardo Duran, Foreign Affairs Minister in-charge, and Belgium's Economic and Reform Minister, Vincent Van Quickenborne, at the Presidential Palace. At the Miraflores Locks Visitor's Center, Prince Philippe received an explanation of the Canal's operations and the ongoing expansion plans.
