Budnitzs aim in creating this social network is that users feel the freedom to be who they want to be

The cofounder explains that this anti-Facebook social network doesn't want to treat people as products, but as human beings.

One month ago, the platform "Ello" was created; a social network free of advertising that started with only 90 users and whose number of inscriptions keeps growing, with about 40 thousand new users per hour.

"The more they know about you, the more money they make", so Paul Budnitz, cofounder of "Ello", about the social network Facebook. "Honestly, I don't care about money".

To be a member of this anti-Facebook social network all you need to get started in this new platform is an invitation and an email adress. The website doesn't provide your geographical location, nor asks names, gender and sexual orientation. The platform is still very basic and it is still in development, even though it is rapidly growing.

Budnitzs aim in creating this social network is that users feel  the freedom to be who they want to be, providing that they observe the indications of not faking personalities.
