Located in Casco Viejo, at Avenida Central and Fourth Street, Casa Gongora reflects the renewed interest by the Municipality of Panama in promoting art and cultural programs in the city.

Casa Gongora has undergone significant renovations and goes through constant maintenance in order to preserve the historical jewel for all to enjoy.

Considered a jewel within the circle of the historical patrimony hierarchy, it constitutes an urban rescue of special significance given that it is the only house that maintains its architectural features intact. Its balconies, massive wooden doors, lintels, and brick and stone floors remain as they were built.

In 1995, Casa Gongora ended in the hands of the Municipality and in 1997 the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization declared it, along with Casco Viejo , a phistorical heritage.
