Man gunned down in city disco

PANAMÁ. A Mexican man was killed execution style inside the popular discotheque Jade, located in the Via Porras, neighborhood of San Francisco.

The shooting took place on Tuesday afternoon at 4.30 while the victim was sipping a soft drink while waiting for an unknown person. Witnesses said that the hitmen entered the premises violently and fired their guns six times.

The Mexican was killed and his driver, the Colombian Mario Fernando was hit in the chest. Another person also was injured by the projectiles.

The facts seem to point to an arranged hit, because the assailants knew that the Mexican was inside the discotheque.

Police sources are not discounting that the murder was drug related due to the criminal history of the victim.
