PANAMA. Cable Onda customers in Bella Vista have been suffering Internet outages for two days, obtaining little information from Cable Onda except that they are not alone in their problems.
Santa Ana and Calidonia customers are equally suffering.
Panama Star tried contacting Cable Onda’s Public Relations department in order to request more information regarding this outage, but after several tries and constant phone juggling from the technical department, to the operator, to a sales and advertisement department voicemail back to the operator only to be reconnected with the technical department again, all we were able to obtain was that customers with problems should keep on calling customer services at 390-7555 in order to report their situation and get a technician down to their homes to check their modems. The operator said there was no public relations department, and sent the call to a technician, who said he was aware of the problems, but claimed the company was not calling it a wide scale outage until they check several modems in order to assess the situation. As soon as you call Cable Onda there is a voice message announcing technical difficulties in the Condado del Rey area. No warning on the rest of the areas, however.
