PANAMA. If you haven’t visited the National Theater, located in Plaza Bolívar, calle3 Catedral y Av. B, San Felipe (Casco Viejo), now is your chance. The National Institute of Culture (INAC) and the government invite all to enjoy a grand Folkloric Gala, on November 7 and 8 in commemoration of the 100 years of the Theater.

Entrance to functions both days is free, and the evening promises to be packed with traditional and national cultural showcases.

The National Theater was was designed by Italian architect Genario Ruggieri, who was also in charge of designing the adjoining presidential palace.

It was opened on October 1, 1908 with the inauguration of President Don Jose Domigo de Obaldia. The building has undergone several restoration projects r to preserve the classical structures for future generations.
