PANAMA. The Chambers of Comerce, Industries and Agriculture in Panama will stage the 2th version of Expocomer from March 4 – 7 at ATLAPA.

Exhibitors from more than 30 countries will showcase their products and services in order to establish business networks and promote commercial relations with their Panamanian counterparts. Through the years, it has become the ultimate regional commerce showcase for those seeking business opportunities.

The President of the organizing committee, Jose Luis Ford, believes there are three major aspects of this year’s exhibit. First, that there is an Expocomer despite the global financial crisis.

“Even with this outlook we have maintained the participation of local and foreign companies,” he said. Second, the Howard special economic zone will be officially launched at Expocomer.

And last but not least, during the event, the Foreign Relations Ministers from the member countries of ARCO (Pacific Latin American Countries) will meet to discuss commerce in the region.

Among the countries who will have more to showcase in this year’s Expocomer are Brazil, Mexico and Colombia, and among those whose exhibit space has decreased are Israel and Spain. But according to Ford the important factor is that they are still participating.
