During a television interview on Telemetro, Molinar said that she has detected a series of irregularities with the teachers’ appointments, which traded sex or money for a job.
Molinar said that she would do everything in her power to stop this practice.
Meanwhile, Luis Lopez, a teachers union leader said that these kind of cases occurred with alarming frequency and it is like the “mafia” in the Education Ministry, unless you have a friend, or something to trade such as sex or money you will not get a job. Over the last five years the Ministry of Education has come under fire due to the bad state of buildings, the students’ poor performances, corruption in general and lack of teachers in remote areas.
