MEXICO CITY. A court has ordered a Bolivian preacher to be kept in jail during the investigation into sabotage and kidnapping charges in the hijacking of a jetliner from the resort city of Cancun. The Attorney General's Office says a federal court issued the order Monday for Jose Flores. The charges carry a maximum penalty of 43 years in prison.

SAN JUAN. Several employees of American Airlines are among those under arrest in a US raid targeting a drug-smuggling ring based out of Puerto Rico's largest airport. Drug Enforcement Administration spokesman Waldo Santiago says at least 20 people have been arrested in connection with a drug ring that smuggled narcotics to the United States mainland.

LONDON. Prince Harry has turned 25, making the eligible bachelor entitled to part of his inheritance from his mother, Princess Diana. The prince, the younger son of Prince Charles and the late Diana, was spending his birthday by continuing his pilot training in the Royal Air Force on Monday. Harry and his brother Prince William were left equal shares of their mother's estate. With inheritance tax deducted, the estate was valued at nearly 13 million pounds 12 years ago. They gain access to the capital at age 30. William is 27.

VANCOUVER.Canada has no plans to extend its military mission in Afghanistan past the planned 2011 pullout, even if there is pressure to deal with the worsening security situation, a senior government official said. Canada has about 2,700 soldiers on the military mission in the Kandahar region, which has seen some of the worst fighting with Taliban forces. Public support for the mission has wavered.
