“Angela Maytin and Dr. Mauro Zúñiga have soiled my family name by accusing me of killing Serrano,” said the Minister, who has been separated from his post for 30 days.
“This is the first action I am going to take to clear my name,” said Delgado after he presented his lawsuit before the Public Ministry.
He added that in the report presented by the Truth Commission his name never appeared and no charge was made against him.
Dr. Zuñiga after hearing the news said that he was glad that Delgado, a man who was part of the military regime that brought to the country torture and humiliation, has finally understood that now we are living in a state that obeys the Rule of Law.
The Public Ministry has not made any decisions yet regarding this latest update.
