PANAMA. A week after the elections, Panama City’s mayor’s office will proceed to remove all of the political propaganda set up around the district, said Rafael Reyes, director of garbage collection.
Reyes said that starting this Sunday, all billboards, banners, flags, fabric, paper, and posters will be removes from streets, avenues and public places in the capital city.
Municipal authorities called upon the candidates to remove their signs, in order to appearance.
Work will start at midnight at the Aquilino de la Guardia road, which intersects with Calle 50. On the first stage of the cleanup, the areas of Bella Vista, San Francisco, Curundu, Calidonia, Santa Ana, San Felipe, El Chorrillo and Ancon will be serviced.
More than 50 employees will carrying out the ordeal, with the help of two garbage collection trucks, 7 pick-up trucks, ladders, and similar tools.
