National Police will patrol the University of Panama

PANAMA. The National Police will start patrolling the campus of the University of Panama, because thieves and muggers are running wild.

The University of Panama Rector, Gustavo Garcia de Paredes asked the National Police director, Francisco Troya to assign units to survey the areas between the faculties of education and Public Administration with Viejo Veranillo.

The criminals attack at all hours and nobody is safe, not even in the classrooms.

It is expected that the police presence will deter would be muggers from striking.

The University of Panama has been the target of criminals elements, who take advantage of the solitary passageways to commit their felonies.
