Their last attempt, was made yesterday, through the Anti-corruption Front president, Enrique “Chito” Montenegro, who asked the Public Ministry to confiscate $30 million dollars of Murcia’s Panama fortune.

Montenegro asked the drug prosecutor, Jose Abel Almengor, to locate the properties, and see if they can be used as a way to pay back the 6,000 Panamanian clients affected by Murcia alleged scam.

Among the goods confiscated by the Public Ministry are a Cessna Citation II jet, valued at $ 13 million dollars. The plane is under the Waupulaei Inc. Company administration, created by Murcia’s partner, the industrialist Ernesto Chong.

Yet to be located are $5 million in bonds, a gold bar certificate worth $5 million, deposited in Switzerland, $4 million transferred to Belize and four apartments, each worth $2 million.

Meanwhile, political mayoral candidate ‘Bosco’ Vallarino, urged the Public Drug Prosecutor to conduct an investigation into his opponent, ‘Bobby’ Velazquez, after a recent video interview was aired where Murcia mentioned that ‘Bobby’ and Balbina Herrera’s campaigns had knocked on his door asking for funds. ‘Bobby’ denies these claims.
