PANAMA. The Minister of Health, Franklin Vergara says that 32 new primary health centers will be opened around the country.

The new centers, called MINSA-Capsi will be the first step for many sectors of the population, who do hot have social security to receive proper medical care.

The centers will have modern equipment and personnel properly trained in all areas of health.

The aim of the centers is to refer sick people to specialists who can treat illnesses at an early stage.

Currently patients have to go through a lengthy process before they can be seen by a specialist.

Minister Vergara said that the centers would have dentists, apart from doctors, nurses and technicians.

The first MINSA-Capsi will be built in Las Garzas de Pacora neighborhood, the place in which the first cabinet council took place and that has a great sentimental value for President Martinelli.
