PANAMA. Panamanian athlete Alonso Edwards won the silver medal at the 200m finals in the Berlin World Championship yesterday.

PANAMA. Panamanian athlete Alonso Edwards won the silver medal at the 200m finals in the Berlin World Championship yesterday.

Edwards improved his own record and the South American record with 19.81 seconds.

As expected, Usain Bolt, the world’s fastest man took gold, breaking his own record with 19.19 seconds.

Wallace Spearmon took third place in the final.

Edwards father said this was a medal for all Panamanians.
